My Story

photo

It all began one week before Christmas 2014.  The doctors confirmed she has breast cancer.  A single mother to three boys, how is she going to tell them?  How is she going to get through this?

But God said to her, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  2 Corinthians 12:9

Fast forward to present day, I am married to a loving, God-fearing man who who loves our three boys as much as I love our daughter. God completed our family of four children, two daughter-in-loves and two grandchildren (one more on the way), oh and yes, countless fur-babies.  I would not have believed all of this was possible, “but God” gloriously showed off in His Ephesians 3:20 way!

Hello, my name is Missy Williams and it is my deepest hope and prayer that my life events, awakenings, thoughts, emotions, revelations, and this crazy unfolding inspire and encourage even but one person.  It is through great prayer and reflection that I bring to you my most intimate of thoughts and struggles, trials and victory in Christ.  I pray it blesses you as this journey continues to bless me.

In His love,

Missy

  1. Missy, I will add you to my prayer list! I hope that you are either in remission by now or at least facing a favorable prognosis. I shall look forward to reading your articles. God bless!

    1. Thank you Jeffrey! God performed many miracles within my diagnosis, pathology, etc. I have been cancer free since my bilateral mastectomy 2/12/15 – no chemo and no radiation was in my treatment plan because of the healing Hand of God! He is faithful. I give Him all the glory, honor and praise He so richly deserves. Thanks again for your prayers. I will pray for your needs and provision as well. May God continue to bless you too.

  2. Hi Missy, I’m so happy to know that you’re in remission since 2015 and that there were no chemo or radiation for your breast cancer. I’m in my almost 8th year remission. Mine was a big ordeal. Your boys look great! I once bought a book for my daughter entitled “The King,” and I addressed her as “Dear Princess.” Many blessings to you. Miriam

      1. PTL! I am so glad He allowed me to share! The link goes to a blank page that says “Page Not Found.” May God bless your week as well, Missy! 🙂

      2. Thank you so much!!! <3 I begin my posts as private until final edits. After I added all my links somehow they disappeared. Ugh! I'm finalizing it again this morning and will publish it public. =)

      3. It was great actually because I learned something new. WP saves drafts for like 30 days or something. You can go back in and see all your edits, saves, etc. and select the one you really wanted. I love learning new things. I was mortified originally though. Lol
