Waiting to Board

Waiting to Board

Tomorrow will be exactly one month that I married the love of my life. Mark has been my loving husband, and I’ve been his beloved wife for thirty-one days. He lives in Florida and I live in Texas so, I bet you can only imagine how excited I am to be a passenger again on a flight tomorrow to spend the most amazing seven days with my man.

We will be together, no cell phones, no dropped calls. We will be face to face, hand in hand, side by side. We will wake up together where we belong reliving our magical wedding and creating new memories that will last a lifetime. We are truly blessed.
Our hearts are aligned to waiting for and wanting God’s will for our lives. While the lens appears to be coming into focus it is not absent of the subtle fear and hint of doubt in making the wrong decision.

Joshua 1:9

Philippians 4:6-10

Isaiah 41:10

Psalm 56:3

Proverbs 3:5-6

John 14:27

The beautiful thing is, God will never punish you for being prayerful and unknowingly making the wrong decision (absent of sin). Our God is a God of grace upon grace, unmerited favor, and unending love.

Now most of us won’t have to wait for seventy years as they did in Babylon, but this is what our God promises, “As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:10-11 (MSG)

The New International Version translates the promise in a more familiar language. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

These promises are not only for Mark and me. They are true and just promises for you too.

What promises are you trusting God for?

Well, I can promise you God has it all worked out. Trust Him to deliver. How do we know? How can we be so sure? Because Mark and I are living proof.

In His love,

Mark and Missy Williams
