Commit to The One

Commit to The One

Waiting patiently isn’t always easy, at least that’s true for me, but the result of His provision is absolutely worth it. The word “commit” is a powerful word. It is also a powerful challenge. Are you “All In”?

What are you waiting patiently for?

What will you commit to do while you wait?

My heart has been a little sad the past couple of days. It seems I have a little black rain cloud that’s following me around and I can’t shake it. I miss my husband Mark. We are so ready to live in the same state, the same city and the same home. When I take my eyes off of what appears to be my circumstances and commit to looking up to and pressing into God my perspective changes.

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, … Psalm 37:5-7 (NASB)

A “to do” list, goals and instruction get me motivated to tackle the task before me. What is before me and before us now is to continue to press in and put one foot in front of the other. I love the way Psal 37 reads in the Message translation.

Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done: He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon. Quiet down before God, be prayerful before him. Don’t bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top. Psalm 37:5-7 (MSG)

These are truths and instruction we can trust in and commit to. So, as hard as it may be some of the time, Mark and I continue to commit our way to the Lord with all that we have.

Trust in the Lord with all your hear, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

Mark and I truly know the provision the Lord has for us because He brought us together. We are husband and wife separated by one thousand miles…for now. We love each other so very much and trust God with, in and through our lives. God bridges the gap until we are together again. It’s not always easy, but it is more than worth it.

We love y’all!
