“Jesus didn’t save you for what you’re ready for, He saved you for what you’re called for.” Ps. Carl Lentz

Walking through breast cancer last year the desire of my heart was to prove faithful to God through it. I told Him use “this”, use me and to come get His glory. In a few short months he extracted the cancer, miraculously healed me, and brought me through to the other side to help others. Cancer happened to me, but it wasn’t about me. It was ALL about the mighty working and miracles He was and is doing.
Prepare Your Heart

What is far more important than preparing my Hospice Austin volunteer identification is preparing my heart, listening to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to Guide and direct my path, my words, my heart. As I go out today to meet a new family it is most humbling and touches my heart deeply to know they are not “new” to me, they are my friends.

Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Matthew 4:19 (NIV)

I am privileged and honored to walk beside them in this very special, at times emotional and very intimate journey of preparation of their loved one.
