Hold On Loosely

Never before have I been more confident in allowing God to shower me with all the treasures, blessings and favor He has for me. I could believe and know others were worthy of such blessings and favor, but I didn’t believe it for myself. I can’t presume to know the details He has prepared and planned. I am, however, resting my head in His hands and floating upon the very sea where He commands the waves to bow down.

Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NASB)

I am most confident in my relationship with and inamored love for Him. I am not perfect, He is, and He loves me anyway. Through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit I will hold on loosely to my desires, my dreams in every effort that He will bless them or take the desires away or give me something better. I trust He will form, fortify, and fuel them or tear back the veil to reveal His plan and future for me.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

I have never walked in a childlike faith as I am now. I don’t know when it happened, but I know now exactly what scripture has been speaking of.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3 NIV)

Walking forward there will continue to be ups and downs in this life until God calls me home. With my palm raised facing toward the heavenlies I remain hopeful holding my dreams and desires gently, loosely, ever so carefully so not to harm, injure or destroy the very best God has for me. If a hearts desire falls away God has something greater. If the desires do not fall away then they are of His will. Until then, I choose joy in all circumstances. I choose contentment in all circumstances. I choose my King Jesus first in all things and love Him above any man or any thing.

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:10-13 NIV)

In His love always,
