Present Suffering and Future Glory
“Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.” Max Lucado
Today I walk through another surgery. Beginning as exploratory only God knows the outcome of today and of the future. God has already lovingly gone before me to prepare His way. Nothing will surprise Him about what is revealed. He has thought of every detail and aligned the very best and necessary people to be His hands and feet in the operating room..
With God my storm is my protection, the trial is my provision, and the test is my testimony for His glory. Tired and weary my hope, faith and love remains fully, completely and unmistakably in my Savior.
My sweet loving sister in Christ D’Ann Pate reminded me last night, “God can’t do His best work by giving you what you want.” Even through the tears this wisdom was exactly what I needed to hear.
I know my Heavenly Father wants the very best for me today and always just as He does for you. In my childlike knowledge, I may think I know what I want, how I want it and when, but His vision far surpasses the distance, provision and protection than my vision will ever be capable of discerning.
Invitation to the Thirsty
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts…” Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV)
Oh Father God, I praise You as I walk into the unknown of today. I praise Your unstoppable pursuit of me. I praise You for Your profession of love for me. Humbled my gratitude leaves me fumbling for the perfect words of appreciation. Father God pour a double portion of wisdom and discernment over my medical team and especially my plastic surgeon. All the years of schooling will not be activated if not listening to the Holy Spirit today. I thank You in advance for Your best outcome today. I praise You for the results whatever they may be. With my whole heart I will praise You for today even though it’s not part of my plan. Thank you for all my family, Pastors, Celebration family, my physician and his wife, co-workers, friends, and even strangers who are praying for me. I am truly blessed and I absolutely love and adore each one of you!!! Lord, You know my heart. I thank You Jesus and I love You. In your Holy and precious Son’s name I pray. Amen
Life Through the Spirit
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose…” Romans 8:28 (NIV)
