Double Portions

Double Portions

Tears fall with a tender and vulnerable spirit of overwhelming gratitude in all you’ve provided for me. How can one express enough appreciation that they may come to truly know the overflowing love you feel. How can one possibly convey the depth of peace and comfort their prayers, talents, finances, donations, contribution, encouragement, heart, and fellowship brings? My first praise goes to God for intentionally putting me on your heart, and in your life. Secondly, I thank you for your faithfulness, obedience, love, and friendship.

Our wonderful friends, who are like family, Matt and Pamela Delarosby spoke life over me and taught me that this year the Hebrew calendar is 5775 God’s Grace, and God’s completion. With two 5’s and two 7’s, this is the year of a double portion of God’s grace and God’s completion. Thank you Matt and once again I have claimed this for my life and family walking in this truth daily.

Our anointed friend and sister Brooke Mason recently shared a message on “sistering”. When they put two boards together to support a non-load bearing wall they call it “sistering”. The relationship between Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus, and Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, is a perfect resemblance of sistering. (Luke 1:39-56)

I am not going through anything that someone else hasn’t or isn’t going through. I am along side really amazing and strong faithful women (men also can get breast cancer, rare but it does happen) They are my sisters. Sisters support, rejoice and make history together. HIStory, not ours, for HIS glory, not ours. Thank you Brooke.

I can best describe my grateful heart for my Savior with this beautiful scripture written in 3 different versions.

“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 MSG

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

Some of the words written jump off the page in excitement. I can picture the Apostle Paul giving a speech to the inmates and a loud roar of the crowd in agreement and praise to our King. What is even better is that Paul wrote this while in prison. Talk about a testimony. He is so in love with his Lord and he desperately is reaching, grasping, searching for new and fresh ways to convey how good our God is. He is almost falling all over himself in every attempt to get his passionate message explaining ALL our God can AND will do for us, if we just believe and follow Him. Here are some of the words and phrases that paint a crazy amazing picture for me.

can do anything

wildest dreams

mighty power

His power

He is able

above and beyond

far surpassing

blow your mind

over the top amazing

spoil you

because He can

way beyond infinitely

He can do all that ya know

Okay, you get the idea. Now isn’t it awesomely ridiculous just how generous He is?! This is a tiny glimpse of how much He loves us and how much He wants for us. We are never “that good” or “that worthy” to receive ALL He has given us and He continues to give us, never stopping. Let’s just start and end with God’s ultimate gift and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus so that we have eternal life for all those who believe and follow Him. Undeserving we are and He knows it. He loves us in spite of our sinful nature. He loves us anyway.

As I enter into the final few days before surgery, I am very conscious and aware that my body will never be as God designed it. It will never be as soft, as natural, it will never have complete feeling again nor will it operate as it once did. Some cells have misfired and shuffled into an incorrect order causing “bc”. Now the cells will be removed and the c will be eradicated.

God does NOT cause cancer or disease. With every lethal attempt of the enemy our faithful Father God swiftly and strategically plays His defensive countermove to make all things good. We must believe and trust in God’s sovereignty. He truly is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega. “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:20 (NLT)

For such a time as this, I humbly and prayerfully receiving your assistance, gifts, food, financial support, your thoughts and prayers.  Whatever God leads you to do in any and every capacity I will not block your blessings. Most of you who know me fully understand this is very difficult for me to ask or to receive. Being the giver is way more fun but it is no fun to give if the person won’t take what you are giving. I understand this completely and will walk in obedience and humble appreciation of you.

His miracles are fresh every morning and are more numerous than the stars in the universe. God has great purpose in the waiting. Let’s walk together with eyes wide open with awe, wonder and amazement for all He is doing in each of us and for us. Let’s walk through this year together fully claiming and receiving His elaborate gifts of a double portion of His grace and completion. Thank King Jesus for loving us unconditionally and spoiling us far beyond what we are worthy of. We love You Lord and give You ALL the honor, all the praise, and all the glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer TreeFamily and friends, with my whole heart know I appreciate you and love you deeply. If you stop by I will have but one request, please fill out a prayer request card so that I may pray for your needs, heartache, dreams, desires, petitions, healing and I will stand with you. I will hang it on the tree or the wall, continue to pray until I receive a praise report or receive peace over your request. All of you are in my prayers, prayer card or no card, details or no details, signed or anonymous. God knows ALL you ask for and ALL you need. Thank you for loving me.
