In The Beginning…

In the beginning, my KAIROS journey is now. Through this journey of suspicion, uncertainty and the unknown I will continue to grow even deeper with my relationship with Christ. It is also a time for healing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

As this journal and journey unfolds I pray the Lord touches your heart in such a way that you too draw closer to Him. I pray that your hunger and thirst to know Him more is quenched only by your worship, fellowship and study of His scripture, the Bible. He never stops pursuing us. He never stops loving us in spite of who we are. His Grace is unmerited favor and it can never be earned so don’t try. Rest in His abundant and amazing Grace and receive all He provides.

The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. Chronos refers to chronological or sequential time, while kairos signifies a time lapse, a moment of time or a season in which everything happens. Specifically, in the New Testament kairos means “the appointed time in the purpose and plan of God”, the time when God acts. Kairos is more of a “moment” or a “season,”. As I walk through this journey I know I will look back and see it as a supreme moment in my life and my walk with Christ.

God’s healing presence has already begun. My intimate encounters of His grace, protection, sovereignty and favor so far bless me. Undeniably, it is God who is with me always.

I am not alone for God has strategically placed very intentional relationships to walk with me in this journey. I am beyond grateful for each of you.

I am in for a long journey in 2015. God is in complete control, as He has been from the beginning and continue through eternity.

God always proves faithful and delivers us through our fiery trials. We first pray for God to deliver us from it. When revealed it is not His plan we pray for God to deliver us through it.

Thanksgiving I call my OB to make my annual well woman exam. I usually give myself a birthday gift in October of a routine mammogram and exam. Some think it’s strange, even crazy, but I am happy to have such good health insurance and look forward to being taken care of for me and my family. Life has been a little busy of late and I was off by a few months. Dr. Holley couldn’t get me in until December 22nd so I asked the nurse if she would ask Dr. Holley to call in a Mammogram referral now. She gladly did.  Austin Radiological Association fit me in for December 2nd.
